Anatolia’s flowers were reborn in the imagination of its women through the decorative art of oya, or Turkish lace, in the 8th century B.C. Floral oya communicated various meanings and messages depending on the women’s age, the flower, their shapes and colors. Young Anatolian women wore oya designs to convey their hopes, expectations and experiences of love. The floral Oya Collection restores the language of Anatolian romance for the bath.
